Update Patch v 0.5.0.0


Hey everyone! Thanks to everyone that have played the game and that have supported it. This is the second of two updates that I want to do for this game before taking a small break and moving on the next game in the challenge. I've been really focusing a lot of attention on coding these updates, and I think that it's time to go to the next one. We'll see how long it'll take for this one to come out, though. 

That being said, enjoy this update, and, of course, if something requires a hotfix, please let me know! I don't mind doing a hotfix for it.

Updates

AI Difficulty

Added a new AI difficulty: level 5. Level 5 difficulty is impossible: the opposing paddle will teleport to the ball's location. Try to win, if you dare.

  • Added a delay in difficulties 3 and 4 to where the opposing paddle moves between its target and the current position of the ball. It should allow the difficulty to be slightly easier.

New Mechanic: Power and Super

  • There is a new mechanic: Power and Super Meters. There are two bars under both players that allow them to make the ball go very fast.
  • Pressing left or right (A / D on the left paddle; Left Arrow / Right Arrow on the right paddle) when the power meter is full will enable power state. Doing so when both meters are full will enable super state.
  • Both the power meter and the super meter fill faster the faster the ball is and fills more the closer to the paddle's center and edge that you hit the ball.

Power Mechanic

  • Pressing the power meter when just your power level is full turns your power meter on.
  • Hitting the ball in power state causes the ball to go very quickly; however, the ball can be returned.
  • When scoring a point, the victor's power meter decreases by 25%.

Super Mechanic

  • The super meter fills slower; however, it fills faster when the power meter is already full.
  • The super meter resets for both players every round.
  • When both the super meter and the power meter are both full, pressing the power button will enable super state.
  • Hitting the ball in super state causes the ball to go extremely quickly. Passing the opposing player like this grants 2 points; however, hitting the opposing paddle directly will cause it to explode... and grant 5 points.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix bug where paddles can clip through the walls
